Rates for home repair services that require less than a full day of work are $175 for the first hour and $125 per additional hour, with a one-hour minimum in Ballard and a two-hour minimum elsewhere. I provide estimates with a low/high range, and bill on a time and materials (T&M) basis. Rates for most projects are determined based on market norms and scope, and are typically contracted on a project fee basis. A deposit is required for projects over $5,000. Materials and expenses are marked up 20%. State and local sales tax applies to the total contract amount.

I accept credit/debit cards, personal checks, ACH, and cash.

Profile
A lifetime of craft
I got my first hammer when I was 12 years old (I still have it—see below), and began helping my grandfather and uncle (a master carpenter and general contractor) do work in family homes and for clients—from small projects to renovations and complete additions. That led to summers spent building decks, installing windows and siding, learning finish carpentry, and much more. I have lived in the same 1920s Ballard home for over two decades, and have significant hands-on expertise in vintage home repair, custom carpentry, restoration, and remodeling.
